Overview

In the Capital Markets technology team you will be supporting a global business of bankers across Corporate Finance divisions (DCM, ECM, M&A, LDCM). We seek an Extreme Programmer (XP) to design and build solutions for our issuance applications. Engineers are engaged directly with end users, actively contributing to requirements, and designing new loosely coupled services; An interested professional will have experience in producing quality, testable and stable code designed for the future. The role requires a motivated professional to work in an open and trusted environment. You must keep abreast of new technologies, with an eagerness to learn, pair, mentoring and coach in a collaborative team.

What You'll Do

• Design & develop high-quality solutions for front-office

• Writing robust, well tested software

• Keen to work in an open culture with focus around learning, pairing and sustainable code test driven code

• Automation of delivery pipelines. Systems are always ready to deploy

• Continuous improvement on process, XP, tools, and techniques

Skills You'll Need

• Good knowledge of Java, Java Reflection and Concurrency, Spring, JPA, AOP

• Experienced developer in complex business facing applications

• Good knowledge of data modelling principles, best practice, and clean architecture

• Ability to deal with monolithic application and a vision how to decouple it gradually rather than rewriting the application from scratch

• Will be a plus: Oracle PL/SQL knowledge, GWT, Eclipse Link, AOP, Grafana, Prometheus

Skills That Will Help You Excel

• An advocate of Test-driven development, pair/mob programming, iterative development, DevOps knowledge: CI Servers, Container based deployment, e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker

• Willing to learn and work in different languages, our group currently uses Java, Clojure and Kotlin amongst others

• History of working in collaborative team environments

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
