Position Summary
The Associate Program Coordinator position is an exempt professional staff role within UGA Cooperative Extension responsible for managing the many resources offered by the UGA SNAP-Ed program. This position carries dual responsibilities within the UGA SNAP-Ed program. The Program Associate is responsible for 1) daily management of program operation of UGA SNAP-Ed direct education programs under the direction of the Project Coordinator, 2) overseeing all county and state-level training activities, 3) leading regular communication with the county teams, including quarterly calls with Supervisors, 4) providing support to the curriculum development and update process to ensure efforts are not duplicated, and 5) managing and distributing the UGA SNAP-Ed program resources. This person works cooperatively with all SNAP-Ed faculty and staff where applicable.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
* This position reports directly to the Program Coordinator and receives directions to provide daily operational guidance to the county-based UGA SNAP-Ed programming.
* Provides requested information to the Program Coordinator to help facilitate communication with the Extension leadership team, UGA administrators, and funding agency representatives about programming-related issues.
* Manages county-based SNAP-Ed program based on feedback provided by the Principal Investigator, Program Coordinator, partnering implementing agencies, and state funding agency.
* Provides ongoing and current information about program delivery and training to the Principal Investigator and Program Coordinator.
* In collaboration with the Program Coordinator and the Nutrition Education Coordinator. This position will plan all county and state level training activities for County Extension agents, County Extension Educators, and Program Assistants with emphasis on curriculum implementation, nutrition and reporting expectations.
* Assists in planning and implementing training for project personnel, focus group interviews, and Extension-related training. Coordinates the implementation of the training sessions.
* Assists Project Director, Principal Investigator, and Co-Investigators with access to SNAP-Ed resources and services, including: printed publications, online content, other educational materials.
* Identifies potential issues related to program implementation, including Program Assistant's workload and target audience outreach and reports back to program leaders for appropriate oversight.
* Maintains a current record of the county base programming to complete reports and request of funding agency (monthly calendars, completed MOUs and approved sites).
* Manages and updates the UGA SNAP-Ed Teams and Sharepoint pages.
* Collaborates to monitor allocated funds so that equipment, supply, travel expenses, and other program supports are within limits.
* Leads and monitors the programming sites approval process in collaboration with the UGA SNAP-Ed GIS Team
* Keeps track of the completion of partnership agreements and communications with the Georgia SNAP-Ed program office via One Drive.

Duties/Responsibilities
* Initiates the process of requesting quotes for program materials and supplies, UGA trademarks approval and purchase requests.
Develops workshop materials, including but not limited to: online registration, brochures, participant notebooks, and reference materials.
* Coordinates and facilitates conference calls for county-based staff.
* Ensures appropriate use of curriculum and teaching materials.
* Ensures educational programming is targeted to the appropriate audience.
* Works with program content staff (Nutrition Education Coordinator, Social Marketing Coordinator, and Recruitment Coordinator) to develop and evaluate educational materials and curricula for diverse audiences.
* In collaboration with other program staff, creates a positive and productive working relationship between SNAP-Ed state staff and all other county district Extension staff.
* Maintains up-to-date SNAP-Ed Management Manual used by county implementers to reflect current federal and state general program information, federal, state, and university policies and program guidelines.
* Prepares, edits, and distributes Statewide SNAP-Ed communications (educational materials, monthly newsletters, and manuals as needed).
* Conducts routine site visits within the state to complete class observations' forms to ensure fidelity of the program delivery.

* Meet the travel requirements of the position within the state and be willing to work a flexible work schedule which may include evenings and weekends.
