- What You'll Do / A Day In The Life Typically Includes
- Stock cartons and other supplies, operating a manual pallet jack as needed.
- Monitor and operate shrink wrap machine.
- Select appropriate carton size from overhead rack.
- Place carton over shrink-wrapped stack of product.
- Push box along "ironing board".
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and B&T policies.
- Operate and maintain the shrink wrap machine.
- Ensure the proper carton size selection for branded and non-branded boxes.
- Support stacker productivity by preventing the conveyor line from backing up.
- Replace top and bottom rolls of material in machine as needed using a hoist.
- Restock all required supplies.
- Perform other duties, including but not limited to:
- Operating conveyor line controls.
- Pushing totes containing product into stack stations.
- Supporting invoice station by adding packing lists, attaching shipping labels to outside of box, and operating Case Sealer.
- Sorting small packages by carrier/destination into appropriate Pell bins.
- Assisting on shipping dock to sort boxes from conveyor into truck or onto appropriate skids (by carrier and zip code).
- Using an RF to scan cartons to a pallet, audit, and wrap skids.
- Performing counts, as needed, on various supplies and inventory items.
- Operating a manual pallet jack to move completed skids.
The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
