The Equipment Maintenance System (EMS) is the common system used by Vulcan Materials that tracks and analyzes mobile and plant equipment performance throughout the equipment lifecycle. It enables users to track things like equipment usage, components, repair activity, and preventative maintenance, as well as, providing fuel inventory, purchase detail and consumption. In addition, the system has the ability to track cost and provides various reports to support data input. This position requires attention to detail.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain the EMS database for the Division by adding plant profiles for newly added facilities and set up mobile and stationary equipment, including validation of assets for all data being compiled.
  • Perform equipment transfers by verifying accounting and fuel assignments to mobile equipment for all lines of business.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and interval changes on all equipment and communicate to managers and maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain a high level of data integrity entered into EMS for equipment reporting. Prepare Division and plant level integrity and operations reports for managers as necessary.
  • Provide training for repair ordering and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide ongoing support for daily entry and fuel reconciliation along with Labcheck oil sample preparation and submission.
  • Set up equipment into the Oracle system to allow proper assignment of cost and tracking through EMS to accounting GL reports.
  • Participate in month-end accounting functions related to fuel transactions and allocations for all locations and process a division file on the first day of the month.
  • Provide guidance throughout the month related to fuel issues or troubleshooting reconciliation.
  • Participate monthly on the company EMS Coordinator call and receive directions related to system testing, updates, shared projects or processes needing to be carried out to maintain program consistency.
  • Responsible for review and approval of new/current employees set up in the EMS and oil sampling system.
  • Travel is required - 25% (4 sites/month)

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

  • An bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, is preferred but not required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possess sound knowledge of the accounting and financial reporting process and have good math skills.
  • Ability to learn and acclimate to new software platforms.
  • Provide timely response and follow up to internal customer requests

Salary Range. The base salary range for this role is between $85,000 - $100,000 annual salary. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
