Position Summary | The Audiovisual Technician is responsible to the Digital Archivist and Digitization Unit Head for processing digitization requests to promote preservation and access to archival audiovisual content. Duties include digitizing various archival film and video formats, generating and managing metadata, and encoding and editing the resulting digital files for web access or other delivery methods. The audiovisual technician must be able to manage the work on often short deadlines in a moderate to fast-paced production environment where careful, quality work to archival standards is paramount. Work is performed under general supervision following national and local standards and best practices. |
