Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience working in complex organizations. Familiarity with higher education, preferably experiences working in a land-grant institution. Knowledge of UGA processes such as electronic purchase, UGAmart, E-Check request, travel authority and expense reports.
Position Summary
The University of Georgia seeks an Administrative Manager. This position is within Innovation Gateway, UGA's commercialization program in the Office of Research, which encompasses the University's intellectual property licensing and startup support functions to ensure that research discoveries reach their full potential for public benefit. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Licensing Operations, the key responsibilities of this position include the administration of various intellectual property agreements, the processing of departmental purchase requests, and ensuring efficient and effective Innovation Gateway administrative operations. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who is ready to join a highly ranked, dynamic technology transfer office.

Assist with administration of various intellectual property agreements including monitoring IG contracts email, accepting submissions to the Sophia database, assigning agreements to contracts manager, adding agreements into Sophia (e.g. Addgene agreements), status tracking, reporting, and related correspondence.

Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations including answering phones, monitoring Innovation Gateway departmental email, assisting visitors, reserving conference rooms, managing mail, monitoring, and ordering general office supplies, etc.

Prepare routine accounts payable requests to include, but not limited to travel, reimbursements, departmental charges, and vendor invoices.

Prepare documentation needed for support of third-party Federal Reporting requirements. Obtain inventor signatures for assignments as needed. Assist IP Specialist with patent application reference gathering.

Provide administrative support for the unit Director and other staff which may include assistance with scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, conference registrations, correspondence, etc.
