What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

  • Supervises warehouse and purchasing staff. Manages the warehouse including purchasing, shipping and receiving of all tools and materials. Ensures timely shipping, receiving and inspection of boxes for damage. Provides daily work assignments and direction. Responsible for training, performance management, goal setting and safety. Processes timesheets.
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of physical inventories, record keeping, documentation and ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and reporting of all warehouse transactions.
  • Provides ongoing support to colleagues including Project Managers, Operations Managers and sales staff. This includes ensuring that the correct materials and tools are in stock, shipped on time and records are updated and communicated as needed.
  • Oversees and maintains a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet of vehicles to support the organization. Assigns vehicles to new colleagues, ensures that all relevant documentation and recordkeeping related to fleet is maintained (e.g. fuel/maintenance cards, GPS, etc.) Responsible for warehouse fleet management, maintenance, training and recordkeeping.
  • Purchases inventory for job materials and new and repaired tools. Gathers pricing information from vendors and negotiates competitive vendor pricing and vendor service package. Keeps colleagues informed of vendor changes and pricing changes. Sets up new vendors and submits to home office.
  • Independently responsible for efficient and effective operations of purchasing, shipping and receiving, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed properly. Implements and maintains best practices for purchasing, shipping, receiving, data entry, pulling and staging material.
  • Responsible for facility and building maintenance. Works with the service department and assigned subcontractors to ensure that equipment is repaired or replaced.
  • Manages returns for job materials, inventory and tools. Verifies proper tools are assigned and returned for each colleague. Ensures that materials are transferred correctly for proper job closeout procedure.
  • Acts as backup for Purchasing and Warehouse Coordinator.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You'll Need

  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse inventory, fleet vehicle and facilities management principals and processes.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Must exhibit a strong financial background in budgets and control measures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 5-7 years relevant warehousing or shipping/receiving

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

  • Previous supervisory
