CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Aviation Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Aviation & Design Team at our office in either Knoxville, TN or Atlanta, GA.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA is a recognized leader in aviation design - airside, landside or facilities - with project experience at hundreds of commercial, military and general aviation airports across the nation. From terminals and hangars to runways and drainage, we have the capacity to assist with virtually any engineering, architectural, or construction support service.

Working alongside CHA's professional engineers, the Aviation Project Engineer supports the design development, implementation and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. At CHA, our Aviation Project Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

Additionally, the Aviation Project Engineer identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. The individual in this role develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm's and client's practices, procedures, and standards.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years' related Engineering experience required
  • Cost estimate and planning experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D preferred
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
  • Ability to travel (20% of the time to Knoxville if not already in the area)
