Position Summary
This is a grant-funded position that will be working with faculty and staff at the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health on the development and promotion of a citizen science data collection program for invasive species (www.wildspotter.org). This individual will also lead design of all Center websites (www.bugwood.org) and websites hosted by the Center. Specific job responsibilities include working with center leadership to design materials for Wild Spotter and Center, producing marketing/PR content across a variety of mediums, and developing graphics for Federal/State/Local partners.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Ability to interpret scientific material into accessible messages and stories.
  • Can design effective communication campaigns tailored to specific target audiences.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with designing websites, logos and printed materials.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with other individuals (co-workers, supervisor, faculty, staff, and other constituents), including with varied and cross-functional teams and a wide-range of stakeholders.
