Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary
The Gallery Guide provides security for the museum, galleries, works of art, staff and visitors; this individual is responsible for maintaining rules and order as pertains to cultural property protection; keeps accurate count of the number of visitors to the museum; ensures proper museum decorum is observed; monitors museum visitor parking lot; makes visitors feel welcomed and assists as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
  • As part of the DSF team, Gallery Guides provide exceptional customer service to museum guests and promote museum programming.

  • Gallery Guides provide specialized security to help preserve and protect the museum's property from damage, theft and vandalism.

  • Gallery Guides patrol the museum and conduct security inspections, identify hazards and make notifications to the Security Operations Center.

  • Gallery Guides respond to incidents, accidents, and emergency situations and are responsible for administering CPR and First Aid.
