We offer expertservicesfor the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all sports-related injuries. Operates X-Ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce routine radiographs of designated portions of the human body.

  1. Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
  2. Examines radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
  3. Develops and processes radiologic film. Delivers film to requester for reading/interpretation.
  4. Maintains x-ray exam room. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies.
  5. Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log
  6. Schedules radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary.
  7. Gathers and prepares x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over read.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certified in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  • Prior experience in diagnostic radiology.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF GEORGIA

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
