Job Description
Responsible for managing large portfolio of first party property insurance and construction defects litigation cases, including file management and oversight of consultant and administrative tasks. Ability to coordinate projects that involve multiple engineers from several offices through the life cycle of a project. Will assist in planning, managing, and coordinating activities for assigned projects to ensure that goals/objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or with the assistance of Staff Consultants, Senior Staff Consultants, and/or Senior and Senior Managing Consultants. Will assist with developing proposals, budgets and ensuring that project deliverables are on time and on budget.

  • Coordinate and manage small to large scale site inspections for engineering damage assessments following catastrophic event and for forensic engineering and construction defect investigations.
  • Assist in client communications and manage relationships with consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans and keep clients up to date on the status of the projects.
  • Assist with authoring technical reports related to the project.
  • Coordinate with the inspection team to develop damage summary spreadsheets, lists of units/buildings accessed, and ensure data is compiled into technical reports.
  • Oversee the work of multiple consulting engineers and other vendors.
  • Ensure that inspection equipment is coordinated as needed for inspections.
  • Coordinate with consultants and inspection teams on a regular basis.
  • Ensure work compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
  • Provide progress updates and project status reports to the management team.
  • Maintain and circulate project deliverable schedules and ensure that deliverables are completed on time and in line with overall QA/QC standards.

Requirements

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, technical writing, or related technical field is preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry or public works.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, building codes and industry regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and large teams simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines while maintaining the company's excellent work product philosophy.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.

Compensation will be made up of a competitive base salary as well as bonus potential determined by your own individual performance and the performance of the organization overall.
