Responsibilities

SummitRidge Hospital provides quality behavioral health and addiction treatment services in Lawrenceville, GA, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Our dedicated team of caregivers provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis.

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Cook to join our talented Dietary team. The Lead Cook of the Nutrition services department responsibilities include but are not limited to supervision, preparation, distribution, and storage of food services as assigned. Assist the Director of Plant Operation in leadership and assigned management duties within the kitchen including but not limited to inventory, health department inspections and coaching/training staff. Work includes quality meal production and clean up within established hospital policies and procedures to ensure the maintenance of sanitary pantry area and kitchen facilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Culinary School or Vocational Culinary School Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience Cooking or Baking. Experience must include preparing meals for large quantities
  • Hospital Food Service desirable
  • ServSafe Certification
