Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary
The position will provide manual labor support to FMD Grounds Keepers and Grounds Maintenance Department. Work includes the day to day maintenance of campus grounds which includes but is not limited to weed eating, edging, strawing, mulching, mowing, blowing, and leaf removal and operating various types of grounds equipment, including mowers, back pack blowers, weed trimmers, edgers, trucks and tractors as well as any type work deemed necessary by the Grounds Foreman or immediate supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of grounds maintenance.
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation of the equipment used in the maintenance of grounds/landscape areas.
Physical Demands
  • Working outside under adverse weather conditions (rain, hot and cold weather).
  • Lift up to 75 lbs throughout shift.
  • Stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend kneel, work from a standard and extended ladder, and work with hands above head.
