Job Description

Global Survey & Segmentation Solutions - Consultant

To provide insights into consumer dynamics and address client business issues, IRI processes and mines data from many sources. We have a variety of tools available to aid our clients in tracking their business and identifying opportunities, and we provide data-driven solutions to large and small clients globally. The IRI Survey and Segmentation Team is a dynamic and growing team within the company.

The Survey and Segmentation Consultant will have the opportunity to develop relationships with top CPG retailers/manufacturers, and will create value by leveraging their expertise in marketing, project management and survey research methods (including A&U, attitudinal segmentation, discrete choice). This person will design and write custom questionnaires, oversee execution by the operations team, and design custom analyses to deliver an impactful story to address the client's business issues and provide recommendations to help drive their business forward. This person will be able to leverage their creativity and research expertise to develop solid approaches to address client issues.

Candidates for this role will have a quantitative mind set and a strong detail orientation, and be able to think on their feet, uncover insights and opportunities across a range of CPG issues, and present a compelling story from the data.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Design studies to address client issues, leveraging IRI's Panel Data and other sources
  • Act as survey expert with internal and external clients
  • Design custom questionnaires that will answer client's business questions
  • Effectively work with operations team to execute studies
  • Create stories from the data and deliver impactful presentations
  • Mentor junior team members

You'll thrive in this position if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology (Master's degree is a plus)
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience, including 3-5+ years of focused experience in survey research
  • Excellent questionnaire writing skills and sample design skills
  • Excellent survey analysis skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Research experience with retailers/manufacturers of Consumer Packaged Goods is a plus
