Minimum Qualifications

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Lab and research knowledge and skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
Position Summary
This position will work with others on our team to develop treatments for neuromuscular diseases such as ALS (Lou Gehrig disease). We work on cell-based and gene therapies in cellular and mouse models. This position will be in a collaborative research environment.

This person will conduct detailed studies and have keen observational skills and eventually work independently. Knowledge and experiences in molecular genetics and cell culture. Responsibilities of the position will include maintaining lab safety regulations, laboratory instruments, and inventory, assisting with the purchase of lab supplies, and ensuring overall organization.

Duties/Responsibilities
Conduct research in the lab and support to include but not limited to the collection and recording of data and assist with developing reports. Work with others in a collaborative research environment.

Assist with lab maintenance: safety regulations, laboratory instruments and inventory, the purchase of lab supplies, and ensuring overall organization (e.g., wash glassware, prepare basic solutions, and media, take away the trash, etc.).
