We have an excellent opportunity for a Associate Manager, Corporate Sponsored Projects in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.
The Associate Manager, Corporate Sponsored Projects will develop, manage and reconcile all grant proposals and budgets for any educational projects or programs in conjunction with Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference. Also plan, direct and manage the development, production and distribution of assigned industry-sponsored programs and services for Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference.
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with Corporate Relations and necessary members of the Meetings Department to develop grant proposals and budgets for educational funding - estimated 5 tracks for Scientific Sessions, the State of the Art Stroke Nursing Symposium, the International Stroke Conference and other educational projects or programs in conjunction with Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference. Revenue valued at approximately $550,000.
- Reconciliation of funded grant proposals. This includes gathering actual costs from several areas - including Operations, Marketing, Programming and Special Projects and comparing them to estimated costs in the budget. Exampes of all marketing materials must also be included, as well as any survey results and receipts.
- Development, production, marketing, and distribution of approximately 20 assigned projects and programs for Scientific Sessions and the International Stroke Conference, including working with Design, Purchasing, AHA Marketing, Legal, Finance, Industry partners and vendors. Revenue valued at approximately $600,000.
- Direct all on-site supporter attribution for promotional projects and education grants.
- Collaborate with Manager of Corporate Sponsored Projects and Corporate Relations in fundraising efforts. Including project development, marketing initiatives and participation in strategy and sales meetings.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Work with OSO and internal departments to meet department goals and establish OSO as a leader in AHA.
- Establish trusted communication with internal AHA staff and anticipate needs and expectations.
- Management of project timelines, deadline compliance and effective communication and dissemination of both.
- Manage revenue and budget for established portfolio while identifying potential cost savings and revenue gains.
- At least 2 years in grant development or implementation, marketing, and budgeting experience, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of medical and/or industry meeting/tradeshow planning and/or meeting/funding project management background.
- Possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with all levels of AHA staff, volunteers, internal and external clients and vendors.
- Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and MS Project and overall knowledge of database and software application.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize projects while multi-tasking.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects, prioritize and meet specific deadlines.
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
- Preferred experience at a non-profit association.
- Ability to travel throughout the United States up to 20% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends.
